Creek and Sanborn Creep Mine was considered complete far the purposes of <br />filing. The revision was submitted by ?xl?aw Mining, LLC. A11 review d comment periods as provided in the <br />Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of fiiing. <br />This Technical Revision provides for the addition of as many as thirty-three gob vent boreholes at the Elk Creek <br />Mine. Twenty-seven drill pads and associated teinporary,light use roads will be installed; the boreholes will be <br />fitted with pumps for mine ventilation, and eventually reclaimed. <br />The underground coal mining operation is on land located approximately ? miles North of Somerset, Colorado. <br />The pennit area is further described as follows: <br />Township 12 South, Range 90 West, 6th P - all or parts of Sections ?9 ?- 3? <br />Township 1 ? youth, Range 91 west, 6th P - all or parts of Sections ?? - ?7 and 34 - 3 ? <br />Tawr?ship 13 South, Range 89 west, 6th P ? ail or parts of Sections 6 and 7 <br />Township ? 3 South, Range ?? west, 6th P - all ar parts of Sections 1-1 ? and 17 <br />Township l ? South, Range 91 west, Gth P1VI - ail or parts of Sections 1- 3 and 11- l ? <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USES ?.5 minute quadrangle maps of Somerset and Bowie, <br />because the above-referenced technical revision application would incorporate additional lands into the permit <br />area or might otherwise alter previously approved permit conditions or mitigation measures, we are requesting <br />your agency's evaluation ofthe potential for impacts to cultural and historic resources. <br />?n accordance with the 1VIay 1991 Nlernorandum of understanding ??U} between our agencies, we must have <br />your concurrence in order to approve this proposal. we are required to make a finding that "the proposed <br />operations will not adversely affect any publicly owned park or place listed on or those places eligible for listing, <br />as determined by the HP?, on the National Register ofistoric Places, unless approved jointly by the Board and <br />the Federal, Mate, or Racal agency with jurisdiction over the parr or place,' Therefore, we request that you submit <br />Office of Office o? <br />Dined Land Reclamation Denver * brand Jun?iun ?
