Box 46667
Denver, CO 80201-6667
RE: Blue Ribbon Mine -Phase II and III Final Bond Release (SL-2) - Permit No. C-1981-047
Dear Ms. Shaeffer:
In response to your request, we have reviewed Minrec, Inc. application for a Final Phase I and II Bond Release regarding
the Blue Ribbon Mine portal and mine bench area reclamation. We have determined that the lands covered in the request
are fee lands and the mining activities on federal coal, which relied on the site facilities, is completed and need not
resume. In addition, BLM attended the inspection of August 27, 2008 and agreed with the findings in the Mine Site
Evaluation at that time. Subsequently BLM has observed the site several times during 2009, the last time being October
20, 2009. The reclamation appears to be properly carried out as reported in the Mine Site Evaluation dated August 27,
2009. If the surface owners are satisfied with the work completed, then the BLM has no objection to the Colorado
Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety (DBMS) "Proposed Decision and Findings of Compliance" dated September
29, 2009.
If you have any questions please contact me at 970-240-5302.
Sincerely,
/s/ Desty Dyer
Uncompahgre Field Office Mining Engineer
Bureau o Land Management
Bureau of Land Management
Uncompahgre Field Office
Uncompahgre Field Office
2465 South Townsend Avenue
2465 South Townsend Avenue
Montrose, Colorado 81401
Montrose, Colorado 81401
