MANAGEMENT
On behalf of Honeywood Coal Company, enclosed is an application for a minor revision to
amend the soil loss comparison and incorporate the 2009 Revegetation Evaluation into the
permit application package.
The soil loss comparison approved by TR-10 used summary cover data provided by the
vegetation consultant. The summary cover data incorrectly included annual grasses and
forbs. The soil loss demonstration has been amended to include only perennial grasses
and forbs. The outcome of the soil loss demonstration is the same when annuals are
removed. The reclaimed area still contributes fewer suspended solids than the adjacent
area.
Enclosed are amended pages 2.05-8iv, 8v, 8vi and the 2009 Revegetation Evaluation.
Please call if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
J.
