I'm tapped out today and tomorrow and
won't be back in the office until October 15. Stephanie will be starting
to work on a part time basis on October 5.
Stephanies email is;App untie iL?arter.(&b1jji.guv and her phone number is
719-288-8551.
Stephanie,
Boyd called this morning and provided some additional information in
regards to the application.
IJ-Z 009-6) 1
Thursday, Septemoer 24, 2009 5:43 PM
Basically the operation is a closed system in regards to water use. A well
would be used once or twice a week to pump water into the tank to make up
for lost water due to evaporation. The well would pump somewhere around 28
gpm and be used to fill the tank that holds maybe 2,700 gallons (i.e. fill
up the tank with maybe 1,500 gallons a couple of times a week) In that
sense the well would be pumping for maybe an hour or two once or twice a
week-
There are provisions for revisions in both our regs and the state regs. In
general Boyd plans to keep the operation about 5 acres in size. If he
later moves into a new area, he would work to reclaim what had already been
worked so the overall operation would remain about the same size.
He does have his hours of operation listed in his permit so that question
has been answered. In my write up_.. I missed that.
Boyd has a lot of experience being around mining and working as a mechanic
in and around mining operations, Although we do not require an applicant
to establish credentials, Boyd will send in some background on his
experience in mining.
Dan
Daniel Grenard - Geologist
Tya,,,., Bl_M - Royal Gorge Field Office
-?? 3 aln t.
Canon City, Co. 81212
719-269-8527
719-428-4641 (cell phone for emergencies)
hop'. lus.mcl l l S.mai t.yahoo. com/mc/showMessage?sMid=O&filterBy=&..rand=93711359... 9/24/2009
_............._._..__.._..r , ....... ....... ._...._..
.... .. .....
TO 39VJ D1S0SW31SkJ 5TE7,5896TL 65:E6 6OOZlTZ190
