Commodities to be Mined <br />The primary commodity to be mined will be aggregate and a secondary commodity will be gold. <br />Lafarge will supply local, county, and state governments, as well as private industry with aggregate <br />from this facility. If gold is to be mined it will be used for commercial purposes. <br />Offsets <br />For mining on the Lafarge Brown Property, Lafarge will maintain a 100' mining setback from the <br />Cache la Poudre River. There are three existing structures within 200' of the mining cell on the <br />Lafarge Brown property. According to the Geotechnical Slope Analysis included in the Stability <br />Exhibit, each of these structures are set back a safe distance from the highwall of the mine. See <br />Exhibit S and the Stability Exhibit for specifics. Lafarge will not relocate any ditch or waterway <br />during the mining of the Brown property. <br />Roads and Conveyors <br />Only conveyors will be used to transport the aggregate on the Lafarge Brown property to the <br />Greeley 35th Avenue Mine plant site. No haul roads will be constructed in connection with the <br />mining of the Lafarge Brown property. <br />Mine Schedule <br />It is estimated that the Lafarge Brown property has approximately 590,000 tons of aggregate to be <br />mined. While the rate of mining is dependant on market conditions, it is anticipated that it will take <br />approximately five years to mine the Lafarge Brown Property as part of the Greeley 35 h Avenue <br />Mine's West Pit. <br />Equipment <br />No new equipment will need to be brought onto the site as a result of mining the Lafarge Brown <br />property as part of the Greeley 35th Avenue Mine. <br />Greeley 35`h Avenue Mine (M-1977-036) <br />DBMS 112 Reclamation Permit Amendment Application <br />Page D3 of D3
