Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />In accordance with Rule 3.02.2(4) of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, the Division proposes to approve a surety reduction (SRI) in the <br />amount of $37,666.00. The Division currently holds surety for the Keenesburg Strip Mine in the <br />amount of $2,327,437.00. The Division updated the Reclamation cost estimate in September 2009 <br />and determined the required surety for the Keenesburg Strip Mine is $2,289,771.00. Therefore, CEC is <br />eligible for a surety reduction of $37,666.00 ($2,327,437.00 minus $2,289,771.00). <br />This decision will be published in the Fort Lupton Press as soon as possible. Publication of the notice <br />initiates a thirty (30) day public comment period.
