Colombo Clay Loam, 0 -1 percent (map unit 19) - and are located on the upper terrace of <br />the Poudre River floodplain. Colombo Clay Loam soils are deep, well drained soils on flood <br />plains formed in stratified calcareous alluvium. Typical surface layers consist of dark <br />grayish brown clay loam about 14" underlain by a layer of very pale brown loam stratified <br />with lenses of fine sand, medium sand and clay loam to 60". Colombo clay loam soils have <br />.moderately permeability and the high available water capacity. Surface runoff is slow. The <br />hazard of erosion by wind and water is low. Wetland #7 occurs in this soil type. <br />Southern Portion of the Property - Irrigated pasture: <br />Nunn Clay Loam, 0 - 1 percent (map unit 41) - This soil type occurs on the south side of <br />the Poudre River. These are deep, well drained soils on smooth plains and terraces formed <br />in mixed alluvium and eolian deposits. A typical surface layer is grayish brown clay loam <br />about 14 inches thick underlain by clay loam and sandy loam to 60 inches. Kim loam soils <br />have moderately slow permeability and high available water capacity.
