M? I9 ?a - ly/
On September 10, 2009 the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) completed an annual inspection of
your mining and mineral material operations located in T.6N., R.95 W., sec. 14 and 15. The inspection
noted that trash is being dumped in the old mineral material pit in T.6N., R.95W., NESE sec. 15. Per
the Special Stipulations of your permit, no hazardous material/hazardous wastes, trash or other solid
waste shall be disposed of on public lands. Please remove and properly dispose of the trash from the
pit.
The North pit in T.6N., R.95W. sec. 14 and 15 was surveyed using a GPS unit. The disturbed and un-
reclaimed area of disturbance in the North pit was calculated to be approximately 25 acres. The
existing mining and reclamation plan states that whenever the disturbed and non-reclaimed mined area
exceeds ten acres, a portion of the disturbed area will be reclaimed. This will be done in a manner
whereby the total non-reclaimed areas never exceed ten acres. Please provide this office with an
updated mine plan and reclamation plan that includes a description of your methods of operation, a list
of equipment, the permit boundary and areas of disturbance.
If you have any questions, please contact Jennifer Maiolo at (970)-826-5077
Sincerely,
C
D.
