J. J. Dudash -3- October 13, 2009
indicates debris avalanche. The most likely trigger for the June 2007 landslide was
the initial roof fall in the B-6 panel, not outcrop failure.
Since the proposed mining was anticipated in the permit application and rockfall issues have
been addressed, please consider approving this mine plan change as a minor revision. Enclosed
is an application for a technical revision and a public notice in case this mine plan change will be
handled as a technical revision.
Sincerely,
Jim Stover, P.E.
Consulting Engineer
Enclosures:
Volume II: Maps 9, 14B, 27
cc: Wm. A. Bear, Jr.
