October 9, 2009

vSi.?? ?•
t

Photograph 4: Looking North from Station H-8 (7113109)

5
Photograph 5 shows the first addition of rock fill to the channel. Suitable rock was harvested from the K
Ridge area. Suitable rock was determined to be sandstones present in the K Ridge. Rock was loaded
with a thumb equipped Komatsu PC-600, and hauled with CAT 777 haul trucks. Some rock was dumped
directly into the channel, where access allowed. Other rock was hauled to staging areas, where it was
picked up with a CAT 992, and placed in the channel. After being placed in the channel, the PC-600
stacked and placed rock within the drain to attain the designed height and configuration. This is
depicted in Photograph 6. Photographs 7 - 10 show the rock fill from various angles. Photographs 11-
14 show the placement of the Mirafi 140N filtration fabric. Drawing 1 in Appendix A to this report also
depicts Stations used to describe activity locations.
?? n;16
r
