Rule 6.4.6 Exhibit G - Water Information <br />(1) The operation is not expected to directly affect surface or groundwater systems. <br />The soil boring logs showed no trace of ground water at the depths in which mining <br />operations will take place. The pit will be a dry pit with no impoundments. Map 1 <br />- Index Map and Map 3 - Existing Conditions Site Plan show two un-named draws <br />passing to the north and south of the affected land. No work is proposed within <br />these draws. The Little Snake River lies approximately 3/4 mile west of the <br />western most edge of the proposed mining area. <br />(2) N/A <br />(3) The uses of water will include dust control and product moisture loss. The Operator <br />is pursuing an agreement with a local water rights holder on the Little Snake River <br />to purchase water for the operation. The average annual volume of water for the <br />mentioned uses is 10 acre-feet. <br />(4) The majority of the 10 acre-feet/year of project water will be taken directly from the <br />Little Snake River. <br />(5) The Operator will apply for a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System <br />(NPDES) permit from the Water Quality Control Division at the Colorado <br />Department of Health. The Operator will supply the Division a copy of the permit <br />as soon as it is complete.
