Rule 6.4.3 Exhibit C- Pre-Mining and Mining Plan Map (s) of Affected
Lands
The site is located in vacant and undisturbed land directly south of the intersection of
Moffat County Road 7 and Moffat County Road 21. Several Maps have been included in
this section in order to provide all of the required information: Map 2 - Assessor's Map,
Map 3 - Existing Conditions Site Plan (Pre-Mining Map), Map 4 - Aerial Image Map,
and Map 5 - Mining Plan Map.
(a) Map 2 - Assessor's Map depicts all adjoining parcels and surface owners of
record.
(b) Map 3 - Existing Conditions Plan shows the location of all existing conditions
on and adjacent to the site. There are no known creeks, buildings, oil and gas
wells and lines, or power and communication lines within the affect land and
within 200 feet of the boundaries of this area.
(c) Map 3 - Existing Conditions Site Plan shows existing topography with four
foot contour intervals. The topography of the site is gently rolling and
generally slopes to the west on the order of 3 to 5 percent.
(d) Both Map 3 - Existing Conditions Site Plan and Map 5 - Mining Plan Map
show the Proposed Pit Boundary. The only area outside of the Proposed Pit
Boundary to be affected is for the access points onto County Road 21.
(e) Map 5 - Mining Plan Map contains a note stating the type of present
vegetation covering the affected lands. The site is sparsely vegetated with
sagebrush, cactus and occasional grasses.
(f) The soil boring logs showed no trace of ground water at the depths in which
mining operations will take place. The pit will be a dry pit with no
impoundments. Map 1 - Index Map and Map 3 - Existing Conditions Site
Plan show two un-named draws passing to the north and south of the affected
land. No work is proposed within these draws. The Little Snake River lies
approximately 3/4 mile west of the western most edge of the proposed mining
area.
(g) The only existing permanent man-made structure within 200 feet of the
affected land is Moffat County Road 21. This is a rural gravel road and is
shown on Map 3 - Existing Conditions Plan.
(h) Soils information is provided in Exhibit I. Map 4 shows an aerial photo of the
general project area.
