III. COMMENTS - COMPLIANCE <br /> Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations <br /> made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during <br /> the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br /> This was a partial inspection of the Yeast mine site. Demris Jones from Seneca Coal Company <br /> accompanied me on the inspection. Weather was clear and clear, the ground was dry. There was no <br /> activity at the reclaimed mine site during this inspection. <br /> The ponds along the Sage Creek Road were inspected first. Pond 12 was discharging at about 10-15 <br /> gpm. The water level in Pond 14 was about 2-3 foot below the top of the riser, and the water level in <br /> Pond 13 was about l foot below the riser. <br /> SCC has repaired the small slide above Pond 13. See photo below. <br /> 1 walked YPM 1-1. A gully observed during the July bond release inspection,just below the aspen <br /> volunteer area, has not been repaired. This will be considered a continuing maintenance item. <br /> The=off control structure on YPM-8 has been constructed as seen in the attached photo. <br /> A number of rock check dams have been placed in the road ditches along the main entrance road. <br /> At the Pond 12 slide area, a second trench has been dug to the west of the first one. A trickle of water <br /> was observed. <br />
