NO ?G?
This letter is to inform you that CBCI Gravel has filed an application for a Construction
Materials Limited Impact (110) Reclamation Permit with the Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Board under the provisions of the Colorado Land Reclamation Act to open
and operate an open pit, sandstone mining operation on the land owned by David and
Linda Cressler and with the general land description of a portion of the southeast quarter
of the southeast quarter of section 1, township 41 north, range 20 west of the New
Mexico Principal Meridian, Dolores County Colorado. More general described as land
located to the soutwest corner of Dolores County Roads C and 2.
This will be a small scale mining operation affecting no more than 8.52 acres of land that
has in the past be utilized for livestock grazing. Gravel will be mined by heavy
equipment and crushed on site. Noise and dust associated with the operation is to be
expected. However, should the dust become excessive it will be controlled via the use of
spray from a water truck. Operation will be during daylight hours only, so obtrusive
lighting is not an issue.
At this time, commencement of operation is May 1, 2009. CBCI Gravel intends to
complete the mining operation in March of 2019. At that time the land will be reclaimed
to agricultural grazing. All regulations imposed by the State of Colorado, Division of
Reclamation, Mining and Safety will be followed.
Additional information and tentative decision date may be obtained from the Division of
Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado,
80203, (303)866-3567, or at the Dolores County Clerks and Recorders Office, 409 N.
Main Street, Dove Creek, Colorado 81324, (970)677-2381 or the above named applicant.
Comments concerning the application and exhibits must be in writing and must be
received by the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety by 4:00 p.m. on September
21, 2009.
Thank you,
David Cressler
President, CBCI Gravel
