Bromley Lakes Adequacy Review Response Number 2 <br />October 5, 2009 <br />Listed below are the Divisions September 4, 2009 Adequacy Review comments for the Bromley <br />Lakes Pit 112 Permit Amendment 002 Application, (DRM&S File No.M-1987-049), and the <br />Applicant's responses to those comments. <br />DRM&S Adequacy Review Comments and Applicant's Responses as follows: <br />EXHIBIT C <br />"In regard to Item #2, the topography of the entire current affected area is hard to <br />ascertain from the maps that were submitted for this section. Please submit a map <br />that displays the topography of the entire current affected area with contour intervals <br />of sufficient quality and detail that the current direction and rate of slope can be <br />ascertained, especially for all the current pit excavations in Cell No. 2, 3 and Ready <br />Mixed Pit No. 1 areas. " <br />Applicant's Response: <br />See attached revised drawings dated October 1, 2009 (Sheets 1-7). <br />.EXHIBIT D <br />2. "In regard to Item #6, during the site inspection Mr. Timmons pointed out several <br />remaining stockpiles of overburden and topsoil at various locations throughout the <br />current mining operation. Please display them on the Mining plan Map for Exhibit <br />D. " <br />Applicant's Response: <br />See attached Mining Plan (Exhibit D) drawing (sheet 6 of 7) revised October 1, 2009. <br />3. "The mining setback displayed on the Mining Plan map for Exhibit D indicates that <br />mining will occur 65 feet from the east edge of Brighton Road. According to the <br />response given for Item 32 for exhibit s, a mining setback formula of 3:1 will be used. <br />Given this, if the average pit depth is 25 feet, the setback to a structure should be 75 <br />feet. The mining setback line on the Exhibit D and C maps will need to be corrected <br />to correspond to the 3:1 formula based on the proposed depth of mining. " <br />10/2/2009
