MOUNTAIN COAL
{ ? This
revision is to add Stacktube ST-5 and associated facilities adjacent to Stacktube ST-4 to the east of the
coal silos. Product-sized coal will be fed to and from ST-5 by conveyors from the silos and ST-4
and/or the future Coal Preparation Plant (CPP). The underground reclaim system of ST-4 will be
expanded to ST-5 and further east to accommodate additional coal storage and coal reclaim in the area
of Pond MB-2R that will be decommissioned and backfilled after Pond MB-5E is operational.
In addition, a Scalping Station, consisting of a vibrating screen, will be added inside the TC-1/PR-2
transfer tower. This structure will be increased in length by 20' and height by 10' to accommodate the
Scalping Station. The ST-5 facilities and Scalping Station are more specifically described in the
attached "Proposed Product Coal Handling Facilities Additions" page. These discussions have also
been added to revised Exhibit 81, also attached.
MCC would appreciate the Division's assistance in providing reclamation estimate calculations for this
project. Please contact me at (970)929-2238 or by e-mail should you have questions regarding this
submittal.
Sincerely,
Kat Teen G.
