reapplication volumes, and the general location of any planned enhancement procedures
(i.e. contour furrows, soil berms, etc.) This plan will appear on the Annual Report Map
currently labeled as Exhibit 5A in the Annual Reclamation Report. The overall goal of
both the Division and Colowyo is to replace the entire resource in a manner that promotes
the likelihood reclaimed areas will meet the success criteria for Phase III Bond Release
after the required liability periods and thereby create reclaimed lands that reflect the
desired post-mine land use (grazingland and sagebrush steppe)."
Colowyo believes that the Stipulation is satisfied by the above-mentioned concessions.
Colowyo has described in great detail the process, criteria, limitations, and goals that will
be applied to all reclamation areas moving forward. The proposed path moving forward
is a logical process that is verifiable and ensures the topsoil resource is managed
appropriately.
Please contact me should you have any questions or concerns at 970-824-1531.
Sincerely,
Kurtis R. Blunt
Environmental Engineer
cc: File
