TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION <br />Toxicological information for the product is found under Section 3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION. <br />Toxicological information on the regulated components of this product is as follows: <br />The acute oral (rat) and acute dermal (rabbit) LD50 values for cresol are 1454 mg/kg and 2000 mg/kg, respectively. <br />Cresoi is corrosive to all tissues; therefore, the liquid may cause severe eye or skin irritation. Prolonged or repeated <br />dermal contact to low concentrations of cresol may produce a skin rash. Ingestion or skin absorption may cause <br />headache, dizziness, blurred vision, ringing of ears, rapid breathing, mental confusion, muscular weakness, loss of <br />consciousness and liver and kidney damage. Prolonged or repeated contact by any route may produce the following <br />signs: vomiting, difficulty in swallowing, salivation, diarrhea, loss of appetite, headache, faintness, dizziness, mental <br />disturbances, skin rash and liver and kidney damage. <br />Ammonia vapor can cause respiratory tract and eye irritation. Direct contact with ammonia solutions causes <br />irreversible eye damage, mucous membrane swelling and skin burns. The LC50 in rats by inhalation after 1-hour <br />exposure is 7338 ppm ( 1.27 mg/L). Single dose oral administration of ammonia solution to rats at 350 mg/kg <br />produced no toxic effects. <br />12. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION <br />Harmful to aquatic organisms, may cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment.
