Initial reclamation of the loadout area, including backfilling, grading and seeding,
was completed in early 1997. The resulting gently sloping terrain as illustrated by
. the Loadout Area Post-Mining Topography Map, (Map 29) is a more stable land
form than that which existed prior to the mining related disturbance, and will more
effectively support proposed post-mining land uses. Stability analysis for the
loadout can be found in Exhibit 18.
Similar to the mine area, reclamation of sedimentation ponds and associated
drainage structures in the loadout area will follow initial reclamation by
approximately five to ten years. Reclamation practices for ponds and diversion
ditches will be essentially the same as previously discussed for mine areas.
•

MR-44 2.05.4-11 a Revised -May 2002
