Ames construction was completely off site Friday the 4th and Saturday <br />the 5th due to the Labor day holiday, no work was performed. <br />CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES and PROGRESS: <br />II) EARTHWORKS <br />A) Clearing and Grubbing <br />1) VLF <br />No work performed during the week. <br />B) Stripping <br />1) VLF <br />No work performed during the week. <br />C) Topsoil Relocation <br />1) VLF <br />No work performed during the week. <br />D) Subgrade Preparation <br />1) VLF <br />Subgrade preparation was performed between stations A41+00 (+/-) and A48+00 (+/-), <br />approximately 30 feet left of centerline to 30 feet right of centerline A CAT D-8 dozer was <br />used to rip the subgrade surface to a depth of 6" to 8". The subgrade was then moisture <br />conditioned using a CAT 773 water tuck (when necessary) and compacted using a 10-ton <br />vibratory smooth drum compactor.
