("AMEC")
dated September 9, 2009.
As we discussed during your visit to the site on September 14, 2009, AMEC requests the recent
modification in the Phase 5 PSSA grading plan in order to provide clearance between the solution header
pipes and the slope crest to support liner deployment for Phase 5 of the Valley Leach Facility ("VLF').
This modification does not have an effect on the PSSA storage or the stability of the VLF. Included with
the copy of the AMEC letter is a drawing summarizing the area where the ore slope will be adjusted in
Phase IV of the VLF to provide the necessary clearance.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact nle at (719) 689-4055.
Sincerely,
/ ( G'12t?t2t d?
T IIll ill Comer
Manager, Environmental Resources
Enclosures: Phase V PSSA Ore Slope Change, AMEC Earth & Environmental, Inc., dated September
9, '_009
