(Page 2) <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: KA-I2ZA-1 62 <br />INSPECTION DATE: -9/9/p9 INSPECTOR=S INITIALS: MA(-- <br />OBSERVATIONS <br />The inspection was conducted by Michael Cunningham of the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and <br />Safety (Division). John Goodman of Morgan County was also present for the inspection. The Harvey Green Pit <br />is located approximately 9.5 miles north of Snyder, Colorado. The site is permitted for 150.10 acres; the <br />approved post mining land use is pastureland. <br />The permit sign was posted at the entrance to the site and the boundaries of the affected area were clearly <br />delineated per Rule 3.1.12. There was no mining taking place at the time of the inspection; mining is <br />progressing to the north and to the west. The pit is approximately 35 acres in size; measuring 1,885 feet from <br />north to south and 815 feet from east to west. The east half of the pit has reached a maximum depth of 40 feet. <br />The eastern pit wall was reclaimed in 1999; the wall has been graded to 3H:1 V. The topsoil was replaced and <br />the slope has been vegetated; the vegetation is well established. <br />The topsoil has been stockpiled outside of the pit, along the western edge of the pit. The topsoil stockpile has <br />been vegetated and did not show any signs of erosion.
