Regulnt Board or County Cmnniie,iuners Meeting- Grand County. Colorado <br />April 14, 2009 <br />Page 2 of 15 <br />The motion passed, <br />Planning Director Kris Manguso stated that New Frontier Bank has failed. The County holds $216,381 in cash <br />far required improvements at the Hills at Winter Park Ranch. Mr.. DiCola stated that New Frontier Bank owns <br />six ol'the units <br />Social Services Director Glen Chambers presented a contract for Board approval.. <br />Commissioner Bumgamer moved to enter into a Purchase of Service Contract between Grand County <br />Department of Social Services and Routt County Supervised Visit-Safe Exchange in an amount not to exceed <br />$2,500. <br />The motion passed. <br />The Board requested that Mr. Chambers become involved in the committee that will be re-examing the current <br />TANF funding formula, <br />Mr. Chambers noted that the County will soon be expected to contribute more to the administrative portion of <br />Child Welfare.. In the past, it has been around 10 percent and it will be going to 20 percent. <br />Commissioner Stuart noted that the County received an e-mail commending Walt Eldridge, Brene Belew- <br />LaDue, Ellen Stone, and Taunia Shipman for their work with a young lady in the community.. <br />Road and Bridge Supervisor Ken Haynes stated that on March 27, 2009, his Department decided to go with 4 <br />10-hour days. <br />Mr. Haynes reported that there needs to be a correction in the cost of" fencing at the pit on County Road .3. <br />Commissioner Bumgamer moved to enter into a contract with Top Notch Fence in the amount of $18,411 for <br />fencing at the Williams Fork gravel pit site at the Miniat Property.. <br />The motion passed., <br />Commissioner Bumgarner moved to rescind the motion he made on April 7, 2009, regarding the fencing on the <br />Williams Fork gravel pit at the Miniat property. <br />The motion passed. <br />Natural Resource Superintendent Jennifer Scott stated that the burning season was closed Monday. She <br />reported that the season went well.. <br />Mr. Clark stated that the County put out a request for proposal to remove the building from the landfill. He <br />received 2 bids. The Board would like the building put back up at the Miniat property. The cost will be around <br />$80,000 to put the floor in. <br />Commissioner Bumgarner moved to direct the Road and Bridge Department (as soon as possible) to take down <br />the building at Granby Landfill with the idea of re-erecting this summer season at the Williams Fork gravel pit <br />at the Miniat property. <br />The motion passed. <br />Mr DiCola stated that the people that will re-erect the building need to be the people that take it apart. <br />Veterans Service Director Dave Jones stated that the newspaper has allowed him to put a "Veteran's Corner" <br />section in the newspaper. It has been very helpful in getting out infbmtation. <br />;treasurer's Report <br />County Treasurer Christina Whitmer presented the Board with the monthly report, the quarterly report, and the <br />balance report.
