Regular Board of County Commissioners Meeting - Grand County, Colorado <br />May 19, 2009 <br />Page 16 of 18 <br />Commissioner Newberry moved to authorize the Chair to sign the grant from the Colorado Department of <br />Transportation with Grand County in the amount of $10,000 which will be used for a 1999 Osh Kosh Runway <br />Sweeper. <br />The motion passed unanimously. <br />Road and Bridge Update <br />The following is all or part of staff's Memorandum to the Board as they were provided by staff for inclusion in <br />the minutes of the meeting held on May 19, 2009. <br />District One: MOC. Lay rotomillings for aprons on CR519, CR5221. CR87 trees cut up. CR5002/CR5001 <br />drainage issues. <br />District Two: MOC. Culvert pipe on CR4622. Gravel replacement CR41, CR60. <br />District Three: MOC. Prepare for mgCI application on all roads except CR3 which will be Durablend. <br />District Four: MOC. MgCI application to gravel roads. Sign work. Patch potholes. Fence/cattle guard work. <br />AIRPORTS <br />Granby/Grand County (GNB) Pre-bid for improvements ongoing with Armstrong consultants. <br />Kremmling/McElroy Field (20V) Normal Operations. <br />FAIRGROUNDS <br />Kremmling/Middle Prk Fairgrounds Normal operations. Clean grandstands with power washer. <br />Flying Heels Arena Normal operations. Water back in service. <br />CRUSHER <br />Crushing unit in Kremmling Airport Pit - tons on ground YTD 10,830 tons C6-. <br />LANDFILLS <br />Kremmling: Normal operations. <br />Granby: Normal operations. <br />ADMINISTRATIVE <br />Transfer Station decision Tuesday 11:OOam. <br />-CR3 gravel pit direction Tuesday 2:00pm. <br />TRAINING <br />On the job. <br />NATURAL RESOURCES <br />1. Training for landfill employee that is helping us 3 days a week will begin this week. All other <br />employees are up and running. All trucks should be running this week as well (thanks to much <br />assistance from R&B mechanics). <br />2. Attempting to research and eliminate as many properties from certified letter notification requirements - <br />if property doesn't have any trees we will try to get them off the certified mailing list to save costs <br />3. New hire will be testing for Dept. of Ag Qualified Supervisor license on Thursday May 21 in Denver. <br />4. Start on BLM Forestry Grant application for Hazard Tree Removal Project funding. <br />5.
