Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />A-l9+- -X03 o' <br /> <br />Ki PE- <br />Thank you for submitting the Bare Area Work Plan for the Idarado Tailing Piles, dated July 31, 2009. <br />The State is in agreement with the proposed plan with the following exception: Section 3.2 specifies that geochemical <br />or agronomic testing will NOT be conducted on imported soil materials. The state recommends that any soils used for <br />bare ground remediation be tested in the same manner proposed for the Idarado Legacy Project stockpile. <br />Specifically, the State recommends testing the soil for lead and zinc concentrations, and plant growth suitability, i.e., <br />pH, texture and concentrations of the essential plant nutrients: nitrogen,. phosphorus and potassium. It is with this <br />information the project can continue to be fully documented and information available for future reference, if needed. <br />As a point of clarification, please define the species composition and location(s) where an alternate seed mixture May <br />be used for wetter tailing areas.
