AW A. <br />F.. ti <br />10529-1 <br />NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and <br />Safety proposes to Approve Technical Revision Ap- <br />plication No. 57 (TR-57) for the Foidel Creek Mine <br />(Permit No. C-1982-056), submitted by Twentymile <br />Coal Company. The applicant proposes to modify <br />the 6 Mains North sediment pond from a total con- <br />tainment structure to an active discharge pond. <br />The Foidel Creek Mine is an underground coal mine <br />located in Routt County, approximately 23 miles <br />southwest of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Coal in- <br />terest is Federal and private, and the surface af- <br />fected is Federal and private land. The permit area <br />encompasses approximately 19,940.00 acres. <br />This proposed decision is based on a finding that the <br />proposed operation will comply with all requirements <br />of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation <br />Act, Section 34 33101, et seq., C.R.S., and the regu- <br />lations promulgated thereunder. <br />Copies of the proposed decision, including stipula- <br />tions, are on file for public inspection at the Colorado <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Room <br />215, Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street, Den- <br />ver, Colorado 80203.
