M. COMMENTS-COMPLIANCE <br /> Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the <br /> inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or <br /> evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br /> This was a partial inspection of the Munger Canyon Mine conducted by Mike Boulay of the <br /> Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety on August 26, 2009. Rodney Head the Safety <br /> Director for McClane Canyon Mining LLC (MCM) was present during the entire inspection. <br /> Weather conditions were sunny and warm. Ground conditions were dry. There was no activity <br /> at the site during this inspection. <br /> Roads <br /> The access road was dry and in good condition. No problems were noted along its entire length <br /> up to the former portal bench access road. <br /> Hydrologic Balance <br /> East Salt Creek was dry at the access road crossing to Munger Canyon. Munger Creek was also <br /> dry. There hasn't been any significant rainfall at the site throughout August. The reclaimed <br /> waste disposal site, cover soil stockpile site, and the topsoil stockpile locations were viewed. <br /> All of these locations are well maintained and adequately revegetated. Ditches and culverts <br /> associated with the disposal site and stockpile locations were in good condition and maintained. <br /> The waste disposal area sediment pond was dry. The inlet and discharge structures were stable <br /> and no problems were noted. <br /> Reclamation Success <br /> The site is well vegetated and no signs of significant erosion or instability were identified during <br /> this inspection. The site remains stable and in good condition. <br />
