Permit Number CUP 08-003 SALT CANYON PROJECT
Upon application, incorporated herein as set forth in full, and subject to the terms and conditions set
forth in Fremont County Board of County Commissioners Resolution Number 21, Series of 2009,
the Board of County Commissioners have reviewed and approved the issuance of a Conditional Use
Permit to allow for OPEN PIT MINING OF GYPSUM, for GCC Rio Grande Inc. / Ron Hedrick.
The location for which said issued permit is as follows:
LEGAL DESCRIPTION
A parcel of land located in Section 26, Township 17 South, Range 68 West of the 61' Principal
Meridian, Fremont County Colorado:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of said Section 26, being marked by a B.L.M. brass cap, from
whence the North quarter.comer of said Section bears N89°20'00"W, a distance of 2627.12 feet;
Thence S03°20'37"W along the East line of said Section 26, a distance of 1734.76 feet to the Northerly
right-of-way of State Highway 115;
Thence along said highway right-of-way the following six (6) courses:
First S43°12'05"W, a distance of 563.35 feet;
Thence S40°36'35"W, a distance of 322.70 feet to the beginning of a non-tangent curve to the left, said
curve having a radius of 864.84 feet, a chord which bears S27°06'50"W, a distance of 392.15 feet;
Thence along said curve a distance of 395.59 feet through a central angle of 26°12'28" to a point of
tangency;
Thence S13°37'05"W, a distance of 322.70 feet;
Thence S11°02'05"W, a distance of 760.60 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve to the right, said
curve having a radius of 5555.00 feet, a chord which bears S 19°25'59"W, a distance of 1622.65 feet;
Thence along said curve a distance of 1628.47 feet through a central angle of 16°47'47" to the South
line of the Southeast quarter of Section 26;
Thence along said South line S89°05'36"W, a distance of 1283.57 feet to the South quarter corner of
Section 26, being marked by a B.L.M. brass cap;
