Inc. <br />Shift: Day/Night <br />Date: May 23, 2009 <br />Reporting Period: 05/17/09 through 05/23/09 <br />Days S M T W T F S <br />Work Shifts D D D D D - <br /> - N N N - - - <br />D = Day Shift N = Night Shift <br />Ambient Temperature Range: Lows: 41 °F to 56°F (+/-) Highs 55°F to 85°F (+/-) <br />AMEC: CQA Personnel On-site through the Reporting Period (See Attachment A): <br />AMES: Weather delays due to rain on Thursday and Friday delayed the construction of MSE Wall #2 and <br />Transfer Station #5 retaining wall backfill. Significant delays occurred both days after the rain <br />began. Only tracked equipment continued to work through the rain showers. <br />CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES AND PROGRESS: <br />I) EARTHWORK <br />A) Overburden to Stockpile <br />1) LOB Delivery Road <br />Overburden excavation continued through the week between stations 23+00 (+/-) and 29+00 <br />(+/-) and stations 1+00 (+/-) and 3+00 (+/-). Unsuitable material was transported to the Joe <br />Dandy Main Cresson backfill using Cat 777, and 40-Ton articulating haul trucks. A Komatsu <br />800 excavator and a CAT 875 track excavator loaded the haulage equipment, aided by a Cat D- <br />10 dozer and D-9 dozer. (Double shift work) <br />The CAT 345 Excavator performed rock scaling on the LOB Delivery Road uphill cut slope <br />between stations 12+00 (+/-) to 18+00 (+/-). <br />Excavated material from the slope was stockpiled on the roadway for future haul to the <br />designated area. <br />Rockbreakers drilled shot holes on the LOB Delivery Road cut between stations 0+75 (+/-) to <br />2+00 (+/-). The shot, early in the week encompassed the full width of the road.
