(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-1991-123
INSPECTION DATE: g/11 n2 INSPECTOR=S INITIALS: MAC-
OBSERVATIONS
The inspection was conducted by Michael Cunningham of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
(Division). Bill Kobobel and Ty Thompson of Applegate Group, Inc. were also present for the inspection. The
Idaho Creek Resource site is located approximately 3.5 miles north of Erie, Colorado. The site is permitted for
65.70 acres.
This inspection was carried out as part of the Division's regular monitoring program. The permit sign was
posted at the entrance to the site and the permit boundary was clearly delineated per the requirements of Rule
3.1.12. The site has been mined out and reclamation was completed in 2001. The post-mining land use for the
site is recreation; the pit has been reclaimed to a lake. The pit slopes have been graded to 3H:1 V. The topsoil
has been replaced and reseeded. The vegetation around the lake is well established and contains only minor
amounts of annual weeds. During the inspection several species of waterfowl were observed including: snowy
egrets, Double-crested cormorants, Great Blue herons, and American White pelicans. In addition to recreation,
the site will provide valuable wildlife habitat for the local fauna.
The site will be eligible for release once the Operator complies with applicable Colorado water laws and
regulations governing injury to existing water rights. The Idaho Creek Resource pit is unlined; therefore, the
Operator must obtain a court approved augmentation plan from the Office of the State Engineer prior to release.
Mr. Kobobel indicated that he is currently in the process obtaining an augmentation plan. Once the
augmentation plan has been approved, the Operator may file a written notice of completion of reclamation and
request for release of reclamation responsibility with the Division.
This concluded the inspection.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Bill Kobobel
OPERATOR:
STREET: 7909 Weld County Road .5
CITY/STATE/ZIP: I nngmont CO 8050A
