<br />Twentymile Coal Company (TCC), 29515 Routt
<br />County Road 27, Oak Creek, Colorado 80467, has
<br />submitted an application for Technical Revision (TR)
<br />of the Foidel Creek Mine, Permit Number C-82-056.
<br />The revision (TR09-69) addresses construction, oper-
<br />ation, and reclamation. of the 6-Right Thickener Un-
<br />_ derflow Borehole and Pipeline Installation. --? - --= The mine permit area 8ncompasses approximately
<br />19,940 acres, located approximately 23 miles south-
<br />west of Steamboat Springs on Routt County Road
<br />33, and approximately •7.3 miles northwest of Oak
<br />Creek on Routt County Road 27. Mine offices and
<br />major surface facilities are located adjacent to Foidel
<br />Creek, near the intersection of these two roads. The
<br />mine permit area is covered by the Cow Creek,
<br />Dunkley, Milner, Mount Hams, Oak Creek, and Rat-
<br />tlesnake Butte USGS 7.5 minute quadrangle maps.
<br />The lands affected by the proposed revision are lo-
<br />cated in the NW/4, Section 28, S/2, Section 29, and
<br />the N/2, Section 32, T5N, R86W. TCC controls the
<br />surface and coal in this area. The Mine Permit Area
<br />includes all or portions of Sections 7 through 9; T4N,
<br />R86W; T5N, R86W, except Sections 34 through 36;
<br />and Sections 13, 22 through 24, 25 through 27, and
<br />34 through 36, T5N, R87W. The o{fvnership, precise
<br />location, and boundaries of lands within the Permit
<br />are identified on pages 2.03-13 through 2.08-18 and
<br />2.03-22 and 2.03-23.1, and Map 1, of the Mine Per-
<br />mit Application Package (PAP), and are inclupfed in
<br />this public notice by reference.
<br />Copies of the PAP, including the referenced Techni-
<br />cal Revision application, (less confidential material)
<br />are available for inspection at the mine office and the
<br />office of the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Min-
<br />ing, and Safety, A copy of the Technical Revision
<br />application is also available for public inspection at

<br />Written comments or objections to the Technical He-
<br />aision application should be submitted to the State of
<br />Colorado, Division of Reclamation, Mining, and
<br />Slaty (CDRMS), 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215,
<br />Dever, Colorado 80203-2273 within ten days of the
<br />dateof publication of this notice. The proposed ac-
<br />tivitie, would occur within 100 feet of the outside
<br />right-away of Routt County Roads 27 and 33, at lo-
<br />cation ihmediately east and south of the intersection
<br />of thesewo roads. A public hearing to determine
<br />whether th interests of the public and affected land-
<br />owners wil C% MS can be requested by con-
<br />tacting the CWMS in writing within 30 days after the
<br />publicationof his notice. 'if a hearing is requested, it
<br />would be held in either Steamboat Springs or Hay-
<br />den, both of which are in the locality of the proposed
<br />operations
