<br />PUBLIC NOTICE
<br />Twentymile Coal Company (rCC), 29515 Routt
<br />County Road 27, Oak Creek, Colorado 80467, has
<br />submitted an application for Technical Revision (TR)
<br />of the Foidel Creek Mine, Permit, Permit Number
<br />C-82-056. The revision (TRO6-57) addresses mods
<br />cation of the 6-Main North Sedimentation Pond to
<br />convert the pond from a containment pond to a dis-
<br />charging structure.
<br />The mine permit area encompasses approximately
<br />19,940 acres, located approximately 23 miles south-
<br />west of Steamboat Springs on County Road 33, and
<br />approximately 7.3 miles northwest of Oak Creek on
<br />Routt County Road 27. Mine offices and major sur-
<br />face facilities are located adjacent to Foidel Creek,
<br />near the intersection of these two roads. The mine
<br />permit area is covered by the Cow Creek, Dunkley,
<br />Milner, Mount Hams, Oak Creek, and Rattlesnake
<br />Butte USGS 7.5 minute quadrangle maps: The lands
<br />affected by the proposed revision are located in the
<br />S/2, NW/4, Section 17, TSN, R86W. TCC controls
<br />the surface and coal in this area through a valid ?I
<br />existing lease with the sState of Colorado. The Mine
<br />Permit Area includes all or portions of Sections 7
<br />through 9, T4N, R86W; TSN, R86W, except Sections
<br />34 through 36; and Sections 13, 22 through 24, 25
<br />through 27, and 34 through 36, TSN, R87W. The
<br />ownership, precise location, and boundaries of lands
<br />within the Permit are identified on pages 2.03-13
<br />through 2.08-18 and 2.03-22 and 2.03-23.1, and
<br />Map 1, of the Mine Permit Application Package
<br />(PAP), and are included in this public notice by refer-
<br />ence.
<br />Copies of the PAP, including the referenced Techni-
<br />cal Revision application, (less confidential material)
<br />are available for inspection at the mine office and the
<br />office of the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Min-
<br />ing, and Safety. A copy of the Technical Revision
<br />application is also available for public inspection at
