• Reference area monitoring will also shift to sampling for bond release. Qualitative evaluations will <br />continue to observe for needed rill and gully repair, areas of noxious weed control, areas requiring <br />restricted interseeding or reseeding, or for areas planted to trees and shrubs. <br />Reference Area Monitoring. <br />The reference areas will no longer be periodically monitored. Sampling of reference areas will shift <br />to sampling for Phase II and Phase III bond release. <br />Annual Reporting <br />The Annual Reclamation Report will be submitted by March 30 of each year and will report those <br />items required by 2.04.13(1). Additionally, the following information will be included: <br />1. Annual herbicide applications and weed and pest control measures <br />2. Summary report on livestock grazing management, pasture use, estimated AUMs and forage <br />utilization on reclaimed lands <br />• 3. Annual topsoil balance reporting (Anal soil balance approved 12/9/97) <br />4. Wildlife monitoring (when conducted) <br />5. Results of sediment pond surveys (when conducted) <br />6. As-built designs for stock tanks constructed during the reporting year (when conducted) <br />Testing for Successful Reclamation <br />Appendix 13-15, Historical Approaches to Testing for Successful Reclamation, contains standards <br />and approaches that are no longer in effect, but have been retained for historical purposes and as <br />rationale, documentation and reference for the approved procedures contained in Appendix 13-13, <br />Vegetation Evaluation Procedures for Testing Reclamation Adequacy for Phase III Bond Release. <br />The following discussion details the applicable success criteria, methods to be used in measurement <br />of parameters, comparisons to be made between reclaimed and undisturbed areas and statistical tests <br />to be performed. <br />• <br />TR-50 13-26 08/09
