The balance of the reclamation plan will remain intact.
a) The stockpiled topsoil will be spread evenly over the prepared area.
b) Slopes no greater than 3:1 will be left in the completed pit.
c) Any internal haul roads will be reclaimed as the pit is closed. The entrance into
the pit will be left in place at the request of the landowner.
d) The intermittent channel will be maintained when the pit is reclaimed, providing
uninterrupted drainage through the property.
Topsoil depth replacement will be approximately 5 inches.
While mining has occurred as deep as 15-20 feet, excess rainwater will fill the mined area and
then flow out the drainage. The remaining water simply soaks in in a few days or weeks.
Adjoining landowners actually view this as a benefit because their crops are not being
washed away or destroyed.
6.4.6 EXHIBIT F- Reclamation Plan Map
The anticipated post-mining final contours and configuration for the intermittent drainage
pathway do not seem to make sense as shown on the provided final contour plan.
A revised final contour map is attached.
The proof of notices to adjoining landowners are attached. The proof of publication is also
enclosed.
If there are any other questions or concerns, please give me a call.
Sincerely,
Randy Schafer,
Phillips County Planner
Enclosure: Application Form with Clerk's Seal
Revised Final Contour Map
Proof of Mailing to Adjoining Landowners
Proof of Publication
NRCS Seeding Plan Recommendation
RS/sg
E: UrEricScottG rave I PK82509
