overwhelm the inlet end of culvert C5 and cause flows to back-up at the inlet and eventually exit the <br /> disturbed area, flowing to the south along the haul road(red arrow),resulting in commingled flow <br /> leaving the site without treatment. The operator may want to consider a modification in this are to <br /> avoid future problems. <br /> Processine Waste <br /> Eight to ten piles of ungraded refuse were stacked neatly at the northwest comer of the refuse disposal <br /> area at the King I site. Ten to twelve piles of what appeared to be topsoil were noted at the crest of the <br /> recently graded outslope,possibly in preparation to spread on the graded face of the pile. Flow from <br /> above the refuse pile appears to be diverted on the north side and disturbed area runoff moves to the <br /> south through a series of ditches and culverts, eventually ending in the sediment ponds. Conveyor belt <br /> remains to be removed from the area as previously noted by the Division. <br /> Waste rock <br /> Topsoil? <br /> is <br /> Reveeetation <br /> Spotted or meadow knapweed was noted in the SAE area at the mine entrance at King I. This area <br /> should be treated with herbicide as soon as possible. <br /> 5 <br />
