B&B plans to avoid the critical area around the perennial
spring, where most of the valuable shrubs are located and provide mitigation for valuable shrubs
removed from other areas of the berm with the planting described above. The mitigation plan was
developed by Montane Environmental Solutions, LTD after an initial evaluation of the berm by
CH2M Hill. Both reports fire included in Appendix A of this application.
S. afflAwbag Ooeratigil
The seed mix and application procedures were developed based on a site specific visit conducted bye
the local US Soil Conservation Service representative from Eagle, CO. The SCS report is given in
Exhibit J.
The proposed seed mix is as follows:
SV=ies
Smooth Brome
Bluebunch Wheatbras,
Ephraim Crested Whentgi ass
Barton Western Wheatgram-
Sheep Fescue
Indian Rieegrass
PQ ndd-g J Qnse Seed P_e_r Acre Grill 'cedn?l
4.0
Ju
2.0
2.0'
3.0
3.5
11 1
Total 18.0 pls/ecre
The seed mixture will be planted in the spring or fall. If fall planting is convenient, it will be done
before the first freeze (about the time Winter wheat is planted). This would.be the most beneficial
since it would allow the seed to take advantage of moisture present when the snow melts. If spring
planting is convenient, it will be done in late April or early May. The time of planting will be
controlled by when the re-soiled areas are ready for planting and weather conditions permit.
Carol Ann Permit N A46 Application
30
