windmill. By using these buffer areas, no damage should occur to the existing
perimeter fence nor the stock well.
1) Dust control measures will be utilized, as necessary, on Co. Rd. QQ and
internal pit roads. Water will be purchased from commercial wells in the area
as available. The possibility exists for establishment of a commercial well on
the site at a later date. Until that occurs, water will be purchased as needed
and where available.
EXHIBIT E - Reclamation Plan
The pit will be re-seeded, as recommended by the attached Yuma County NRCS seeding
recommendation, when completed. The site will be used for rangeland. Each of the
areas will be re-seeded after mining has been completed in that area.
a) The stockpiled overburden will be spread over the mined area. The
overburden will be spread out to maintain a 3:1 slope is established on the
sidewalls.
b) The stockpiled topsoil will be spread evenly over the prepared area. All
topsoil will be replaced before seeding of the pit occurs. We estimate that
approximately one foot of topsoil will be replaced during reclamation. All of
the stockpiled topsoil will be returned, but the depth could vary depending on
what was stockpiled in that particular area.
c) Slopes no greater than 3:1 will be left in the completed pit.
d) Any internal haul roads will be reclaimed as the pit is closed. The entrances
into the pit will be left in place at the request of the landowner.
