Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />This letter is to inform you that the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is proposing to Approve <br />with conditions a renewal application for a coal mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by <br />Western Fuels-Colorado, LLC on November 13, 2007, for the New Horizon Mine. <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal <br />hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of the first publication of this notice by the <br />Division in the San Miguel Basin Forum. <br />The surface mine is located approximately 1 mile North of Nucla, Colorado. The permit area is further described <br />as follows: <br />Sections 25 and 36, Township 47 North, Range 16 West; Section 31, Township 47 North, Range 15 West; Section <br />6, Township 46 North, Range 15 West; and Section 1, Township 46 North, Range 16 West. <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review in the Division offices at the above address and at <br />the Montrose County Courthouse Annex.
