This site was originally recorded on 6/23/1975 as part of the CSU-LOPA <br />project. As originally recorded, site 5RT16 included eight structures including a house, two barns, <br />a possible pig house, a stable, a corral and two collapsed structures. Also recorded was a small <br />assortment of bottles and cans, a Life magazine from 1944 and a stove. It is situated on a north- <br />facing slope about 200 m south of Nofstger Zeigler Reservoir. Intermittent drainages flow north <br />through the eastern and western halves of the site. A small stock pond is located to the southwest. <br />A modern fence crosses east then south through the site's western half. Vegetation consists <br />primarily of grasses, various weeds and sparse sagebrush. Deposition is alluvial. Slopewashed <br />sediments are present as well. <br />During this revisit, an assortment of historic debris was recorded. Items recorded include <br />one piece of farming equipment, a roof, a pile of barbed wire and log posts, and small quantities of <br />window glass and clear, milk and brown bottle/jar glass fragments; white porcelain; milled lumber; <br />barbed wire and metal pipe. One food can, a box spring, a bucket, an engine part, a barrel and <br />several unidentified, corroded, metal fragments were also recorded. No standing structures or <br />17
