At the access to the site there was a
for sale sign posted.
Included with in the permit area is lumber processing operation which was not active
at the time of the inspection. The mining portion of the operation was also not active
at the time of the inspection.
The entire permit area of 5.6 acres was walked and inspected. Numerous waste dump
truck containers were located along the west and north side of the pit area. In
addition numerous trucks and old vehicles, and a small school bus and different sized
lumber were noted with in the flat portion of the main pit area.
The pit high wall, along the north side of the permit area was stable and no major
sign of erosion noted. The
Division encourages the operator to provide copies of the approved sand and gravel
permit to any prospective buyers so they are aware of the reclamation liabilities. If
the operator desires, the Division could have the entire permit application on disk
and have it available at request.
At present the Division is holding a financial warranty in the amount of $10,000.00,
which is deemed adequate to cover the cost of reclamation. The operation is in
compliance with the approved reclamation plan
I & E Contact Address
NAME: FRANK LAUGHREY
OPERATOR: SAME AS ABOVE
STREET: P O BOX 198
CITY/STATE/ZIP: I AKF (,FORGE C'O 80897
cc: F CE
F BL
F FS,
F HW
F HMWMD (CH)
F
F SE
F WQCD (CH)
F OTHER
