Reclamation would start when the 25 foot depth was obtained and the mining area <br />was 60 feet from the north wall and 60 feet from east wall in the northeast corner <br />of the pit area. Back filling would start out to 35 feet. We would then amend the <br />mining permit to go another 25 feet deeper if we determined viable. If the permit <br />was not amended, we would continue to back fill the pit as it is mined keeping a <br />distance of about 30 feet from the loaders and track hoe digging in pit. By the <br />time the pit is finished being mined, there would be 30 foot area left to back fill. <br />Then would back fill and would be sloped or flat <br />B. Maximum grading of reclaimed area would be 3 horizontal:I vertical or flatter to <br />accommodate the grazing wildlife habitat and recreational purpose of the land. <br />C. Measures that would be taken to re vegetate the site is as follows: <br />i. Replace growth media will be replaced at a depth of 4"-6" and any back <br />slopes finished at a 3 horizontal:I vertical. <br />ii. The time of seeding, seed bed preparation, type application rate and soil <br />incorporation, method of federalization application. Fall seeding is <br />preferred if at all possible. Reshaping or contouring would be done using <br />topsoil that is stockpiled at a depth of 4"-611. All the slopes shall be at no <br />greater than 3' horizontal; I I vertical slope. The topsoil will be spread and <br />smoothed and 35-40 pounds an acre of actual nitrogen(N) phosphorus(P) <br />and if needed potassium(K). A soil test will be taken to determine the <br />appropriate amounts of needed elements and then seed mix would be done <br />by broadcasting and packing the seed mix as recommended by Natural <br />Resources Conservation Services. The seed mix is as follows per acre <br />below: <br />Stream wheatgrass V.Sodar 5 lbs <br />Western wheatgrass V.Rosanna 5 lbs <br />Arizona fescue V.Redondo 2 lbs <br />Sanaberg bluegrass l lb <br />.. Hard fescue l lb <br />Blue grams V.Hachita I lb <br />Tufted hairgrass 2 lbs <br />Strawberry clover I lb <br />Yarrow I lb <br />Rocky mountain penstemon 1 lb <br />Total lbs 20lbs
