The USGS 7.5 Minute Quadrangle Maps
of Hayden Gulch, Hayden, Dunckley, and Mt. The areas requested for bond release were backfilled and graded from
the beginning of mining, in 1990 through 2008 in accordance with the Colorado Division of Reclamation,
1tiGning and Safety (CORMS) rules and regulations.
The Phase I reclamation activities have produced a stable landform in compliance with the approved
cr,nditions in the CDRMS Permit No. C-82-057. The majority of the grading work was performed with
dozers and scrapers. In some cases the major backfidling was done with draglines. All areas affected by the
surface mining operations, except as specifically exempted by the CIAMS, were regraded on a timek basis to
a stable configuration that conforms to the approved post-mine land use (livestock grazing and wildlife
habitat). Rill and gully surveys are conduct d
I annually to the spring of each year to identify areas that have
06 experienced severe erosion or other signs of instability during spring runoff from snowmelt and precipitation
