Expansion
Letter from Colorado Division of Wildlife
Dear Mr. Nettleton:
On August 11, 2009, the Division received a letter from the Colorado Division of Wildlife (CDOW)
regarding the refuse disposal area (RDA) expansion Twentymile Coal Company has proposed with TR67.
Although there are two identified Columbian sharptail grouse leks less than a mile from the proposed
expansion, the DOW has determined that the refuse pile expansion activity should have minimal impacts
to these two leks. The CDOW indicates that it does not object to the proposed RDA expansion. Please
find a copy of the CDOW letter from Mr. Jim Haskins included with this letter.
Sincerely,
Janet H. inns
Envi ental Protection Specialist II
(303) 866-3567 ext. 8107
Attachment: letter from CDOW dated 8/11/09
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
