EXHIBIT E-2

Moffat County will use the following standard seed-mix formula for revegetation of
disturbed areas in our gravel pits. *
Pure live seed:
Western Wheatgrass 5.0 lb/ac = 37%
Intermediate Wheatgrass 5.0 lb/ac = 37%
Sheep (or hard) Fescue 3.0 lb/ac = 22%
Cicer Milkvetch 0.5 lb/ac = 04%
The above seed-mix formula will not be modified or amended without consulting the
landowner and the Division of Minerals and Geology. This formula is designed for drill
applications; the seeding rate will be doubled for broadcasting applications.
Moffat County has as many as 18 active gravel pits on inventory at any one time,
and finds it impractical to work with a different seed-mix far each project. In
1991, we asked specialists from the BLM, Soil Conservation Service, Colorado
Division of Wildlife, Division of Minerals and Geology and County Agent to
design a seed mix that would be acceptable for all of the County's projects. The
agencies recognized that it wasn't perfect, but they deferred to the above.formula,
and for some 17 years, Moffat County has reclaimed its gravel pits using this
formula without a failure, or a complaint.
BLM (LSRA) Reference No. 3600 (170)
(See Letter Dated August 5, 1991)
EXHIBIT E-2 (Seed Mix Formula)
