Per your request I have looked over what Ann Tatum sent us from AVS and what is in the Golden Eagle
Permit, Section 2.03. The ownership and control pages in the permit were revised 3/6/04 & 6/2/04 for
Renewal No. 4. Section 2.03 shows the three companies owned by Westmoreland Coal Company and the
four companies owned by Westmoreland Mining, LLC. Basin Resources, Inc is owned and controlled 100%
by Westmoreland Coal Company.
The following AVS printouts were sent by Ann Tatum and are dated March 22, 2007:

Northwestern Resources Company - showing Name Change to Texas Westmoreland Coal Company

Westmoreland Mining LLC

Westmoreland Savage Corporation
There were no AVS printouts for Westmoreland Coal Company, The Killen Group, Dakota Westmoreland
Corporation, and Texas Westmoreland Coal Company, but I checked them anyway.
1) Basin Resources has no changes
2) Westmoreland Coal Company has quite a few changes
3) The Killen Group has no changes
4) Westmoreland Resources, Inc. has two changes
5) Washington Group International Inc has quite a few changes
6) Westmoreland Mining, LLC has a few changes
7) Northwestern Resources Company had a name change in October 2004 to Texas Westmoreland Coal
Company, and there were a few changes in officers
8) Western Energy Company has a few changes
9) Dakota Westmoreland Corporation has a few changes
10) Westmoreland Savage Corporation has a couple of changes
Overall, there were changes in the all the companies except Basin Resources, Inc. and the Killen Group who
has a 13% interest in Westmoreland Coal Company.
