Hidden Valley Pit <br />MLR No. M-98-024 Tax I.D.# 84-0601382 <br />Dear Jim: <br />Enclosed is the Annual Report for the past year for The Hidden Valley Pit of B&B <br />Excavating, Inc., including map and report form. Past records show that the annual <br />date for the pit is August 3 of each year. The financial warranty for the permit is <br />$83,155 and the total permit area is 183.6 acres. Eagle County has permitted the full <br />operation so now the DRMS permit exactly coincides with the Eagle County Special <br />Use permit. The former operation area was limited to 29.2 acres as shown on the <br />enclosed map. The mining and reclamation plan is phased. <br />The following information is provided to comply with Rule 2.4.1: <br />(1) Mining did take place in the previous year in the area immediately west of the <br />plants. An approximate area of 1.7 acres was stripped for additional mining north of the <br />northwest corner of the disturbance area. Topsoil from this stripping was stockpiled <br />along the east edge as shown on the Annual Report Map. The total current disturbance <br />is now 31.3 acres. The excavated pit and some stockpiles do exist on site. All topsoil <br />and overburden has been stripped and placed in berms around the pit as planned in the <br />permit. In addition, the existing disturbance consists of the access road, sediment sump, <br />a truck scale and scale house/office trailer has been set up as shown on the enclosed
