This pit HAS NOT been granted a Temporary <br />Cessation and it HAS operated more than 180 days this year. The <br />Financial Warranty for this operation is $800,000.00, the <br />permitted area is 1,239.40 ac. and the pit is divided into 9 <br />Reclamation Phases. A bond reevaluation was completed in April <br />2008. <br />Please refer to the 2008 annual report map for the location <br />of the areas discussed in this permit. Very little has changed <br />from last year as we continue to mine in area previously <br />disturbed. We will deal specifically with.each of the Annual <br />Report-requirements outlined in Rule 1.15 of the Rules and <br />Regulations and the annual notice letter. <br />(1) Mining was temporarily suspended on the terrace deposit <br />covering 11.00 acres ± in the Highlands Lake area (dark <br />green Mining continues--on- the-°-56-.°53- acres -± -in-the-- - <br />reservoir area (brown). Of this area approximately 8.00 <br />acres ± would need reclamation because it is on the mine <br />perimeter. Most of this area has been excavated below the <br />water table so no reclamation is needed at this time. The <br />Plant Site and material storage area covers 25.00 acres ± <br />(orange). There are 2 areas stripped read for mining that <br />we used during construction of the slurry wall covering <br />42.54 acres (pink). We have approximately 85,000 yd3 of <br />topsoil stored on 14.64 acres around the mining area (tan). <br />The topsoil is being saved for when reclamation begins.
