Computer requirements to use the DBMS document imaging CD (or DVD): 1. A program called QuickView will be copied to the CD and must be installed on your computer in order to use a DBMS imaging CD the first time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. 2. The CD or DVD that you purchase mo be in the . A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with the Aif extension. Then needs to be an image viewing application for.tif files on your computer that will handle single and multi-page documents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs we called "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" or'Taint" and they do not with QuickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes with pre-Windows XP computers does work. DRMS has determined that a program called "IrfanView", which can be downloaded from IrfanView.com, does work with QuickView. After downloading "IrfaaView", it needs to be c; gtaed as your default.tif viewer. DRMS does not support or endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as "Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows". 48li 1. Insert the CD into your computer. 2. Allow time for the CD to install. 3. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. 5. You are ready to view the Permit Files. NOTE: A program called Quickview Autoru k which runs the QuickVww setup program, has also been copied to this CD. Mthe Autoiua program does NOT work, you will need to manually install the QuickView program. Instructions for manually installing QuickView are available upon request with the CD or can be viewed at www.lminintt.state.co.us. The Permit FOe document Images cam be viewed V the reception area of the DRMS otike or they can be purchased on a CD or DVD. The CD/DVD purchase cost covers the time and labor of making the CD. DRMS cannot provide computer related support.
