Bond Release Application -2- August 4, 2009 <br />11. Original Total Bond Amount: $160,000 <br />12. Dollar Amount Requested for Release: $ 167,000 <br />13. Legal Description of Area Requested: Portions of the following described lands. <br />Township 13 South Range 90 West, 6th P.M. <br />Section 8: S1hSE1/4 South of the River <br />Section 17: Nl/2NE'/4 South of the River <br />14. A Map Showing Area: Enclosed <br />15. Dates Reclamation Work Performed: Final Grading, topsoiling and initial seeding <br />were performed dur' g I- 7 & 1998. <br />16. A description of results achieved: The Bear No. 3 Mine operated from 1982 until <br />November 9, 1996 when mining ceased. The mine portals were sealed on January <br />9, 1997. All of the surface facilities have been dismantled and removed from the <br />site. The portals were backfilled and the portal area was restored to approximate <br />original contour during June and July 1997. The lower main site was restored to <br />approximate original contour, plated with topsoil and seeded during 1998. There is <br />one sediment pond and one passive water treatment pond on site. All work has <br />been performed in accordance with plans approved by the Division of Reclamation <br />Mining and Safety. <br />17. Copies of the written notice to seek release to parties identified in Rule 3.03.2(1): A <br />Certificate of Service which documents the notices required under Rule 3.03.2(1) <br />have been mailed is enclosed. <br />18.
