<br />2.1 LEGAL DESCRIPTION
<br />2.1.1 Mine
<br />The permit area consists of the lands located in Sections 21, 22, 27, 28, 33, 34, 35, T. 8 S., R. 89
<br />W., 6th P.M. and Sections 2, 3, 4, T. 9 S., R. 89 W., 6th P.M. as more fully described and shown on
<br />Drawing D-4-1. The total permit area is 3300 acres.
<br />2.1.2 Loadout
<br />The permit area consists of the lands located in Lots 10, 11, 12, 15 and 16, Section 20; and Lots 2,
<br />3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, Section 29, T. 7 S., R. 88 W., 6th P.M. for the actual loadout, as more fully
<br />described and shown on Drawing D-2-2.
<br />During 1993 a technical revision was approved which removed The Diamond-A Parcel from the
<br />Permit Area which is all of the permit area located north and east of the center of the Roaring Fork
<br />River. The Diamond-A Parcel is located in Garfield County in that portion of the Permit Area located
<br />north and east of the center of the Roaring Fork River in Township 7 South, Range 88 West, 6th P.
<br />M., Section 20, Lots 10, 11, 12, 15 and 16, and Section 29, Lots 2, 3 and 4.
<br />The mine-loadout haul road traverses Sections 29, 30, and 32, T. 7 S., R. 88 W., and Section 5 T. 8
<br />S., R. 88 W., 6th P.M. as more fully described and shown on Drawings D-2-3 and D3-3. The total
<br />permit area was 65 acres. After the Diamond-A parcel was removed from the permit area, the
<br />permit area encompasses 36 acres (65 - 29).
